Gasconade County Marriage Records

Gasconade County Marriage Records Index for the period 1822 - 2003.

This index has been carefully compiled by GCHS Archives & Records Center volunteers from paper documents and Gasconade County Marriage Record books. Both sets of original records, volumes and papers are housed at the Archives & Records Center.

Information contained in the index is indicated by the column headings: Groom, Bride, Book and Page in the Marriage Records created by the Recorder of Deeds, the Officiant's name, the date of marriage, and, in some cases, other information found on the marriage document.

Marriage licenses were and are recorded in the county in which the license was obtained, not necessarily the same county in which the marriage actually occurred.

The files are displayed in alphabetical order and can be accessed using the appropriate link below. You can search for either the groom's last name or the bride's last name.

Once the file appears, you can use the search feature of the Adobe Acrobat program (not available in Adobe Reader) by typing the word, date etc. you are searching for in the "FIND" box (see graphics below) at the top of the file and then pressing enter on your key board. If you do not have this program you may also search the form by using "CTRL-F", at which time a search box will appear in the upper right corner of your screen. It could take up to 30 seconds to search the entire file for and then display/highlight the entry you made. If there are multiple places where your word, date etc appear in the document, the search will highlight the first instance. If that is not what you are looking for, press enter again and continue doing so until you either find the term or get to the end of the document.
