Marking Missouri History

This book makes it easy to locate the historical markers placed by the State Historical Society around the State of Missouri through a ten-year program that began in 1951. The 121 markers included a synopsis of the physical and historical significance of a county, community or site. This book includes not only the text of those markers but also adds related illustrations and essays on many subjects.
